2008 Foals
LET
IT RIDE - A strapping chestnut colt by IDE out of ZARB'S DESTINY born April 15, 2008. We considered calling
him Turbo Tax
. This is Zarb's first foal and he's a replica of his sire, stout and strong with a wide white blaze and four
white socks. We're incredibly happy with this IDE baby.

BILLABERRY
ROAD - The long-awaited foal out of Red Surprise, by Cape Canaveral
arrived on March 12, 2008 after 363 days in the making. He was windswept but had the most wonderful long Thoroughbred
legs and soft brown eyes. His coat was dark bay like his Grandfather, Strawberry Road. In his first two weeks of life, Billaberry
grew tall and strong and just when I was confident he would be a Derby winner, he became lame. Initially we thought he had
been kicked or injured himself at play. After several days with no improvement, we sent him to be radiographed. The little
man spent over a week under the vet's care as they tried to fight an infection in the growth plate of his elbow. He was
diagnosed with osteomyelitis, a bone infection and was euthanized after unsuccessful surgery and treatment with antibiotics.
We hope for his mother's sake (Red Surprise) that she is able to birth and raise a healthy foal next spring.

2007 Foals
2007 marks
the first crop of foals for The Billabong. Out of three pregnant Haflingers we foaled three healthy foals including a colt
(Alibi) and two fillies (Luv and Billabong Babe). All three foals sold in the spring of 2008. The Billabong expects two new
Haflinger foals in the spring of 2009. Photos and videos from our 2007 foal crop are presented below. Click on the links see
