GRAND MINIT - 9 YEAR OLD THOROUGHBRED GELDING. RACED UNTIL JANUARY 2011. Minit is
a regal gentleman of a horse. He is very expressive, yet quiet and well-mannered.
He lets you know when he is happy about something (like a bath or a grooming) by
licking his lips and nodding his head. He has completely conformed to retirement
from the track and has a bit of a lazy streak. He is not stubborn or unwilling at
all, but isn’t going to exert himself unless asked to do so. He is great in the crossties,
gets compliments from the farriers and vets on his manners, and is just a real ‘been
there, done that’ kind of a guy. While Minit is completely sound, he may not be suited
for a jumping career having raced for so long. I would love to see him go to a dressage
home, or be used as a pleasure mount or pony club horse who will jump occasionally.
His racing ankles are not pretty, but they have never been an issue for him - he
retired sound after 6 successful years on the track. Currently priced at $1,200.00.
